Cheapest way to do it would be:

Ebay for flip key = approx 25
New blade cut (there is an ebay seller that does this. Can be done via digital photo) = 10

Programming in of radio part to unlock doors can be done at home = 0

but unfortunately you will deffo need to get the top part of the ket adapted to your immobiliser 35-45ish.

So ya looking at at least 75ish for the cheapest route unfortunately.

    1. Insert the working key into the ignition lock and switch to the ON position without starting the engine.
    2. Using the new key, manually lock your car from the outside.
    3. Press either LOCK or UNLOCK on the remote (to be programmed) once, then wait 2 seconds.
    4. Press either button again once.
    5. Switch off ignition and remove key from ignition.
    6. You should hear a beep as a confirmation that the programming is completed (not all cars will beep, but I'm sure the indicators flash or something).

Note, remember to leave the window wound down. so you can get to the ignition.

They were flipblade type keys for older VW's and came with a central locking interface which remote on the key would operate. I think it was Lloyd who was looking at importing them.
