    Hi Guys,

I need your help ASAP [:s]

I have a 2 litre ABF block mated to a KR head going into a MK2 golf.

Which four branch can i install that will not knock on the chassis or cause issues becuase of the taller height?

Can i get away with the TSR jobbie - although the guy said its for short block and unless i have the tools to "modify" it that im stuffed?

I need to order it today so its ready fo the transplant on the weeked.

Come on 16V gurus.... let me know the score.

    Thanking you kindly [:D]

Well, the abf16v that went into a friend's mk2 still used the standard 16v exhaust manifold. PM tubthumped, I think he has a 4 branch manifold.

You may need a 4 branch specifically for an ABF (i.e for a mk3 GTi 16v)

I needed a Supersprint 4 branch for a 2E/AGG when I had my 2L tall block fitted in my car..

Not sure if any other manufacturers specifically support the ABF...

I would be very surprised if the TSR manifold will fit as i have one on my 16V with 9A and its very tight!

About an inch between it and the bulkhead/floorplan!

Unfortunately i can only say how it is for what i have but i hope this helps.

There's a guy who goes to the Worcester meets who's got an ABF on throttle bodies in his mk2 - He's got a Magnex manifold on it which more or less touches the bulkhead, he's butchered the heat shields to give it some clearance but it's damn close. [8(]

    hmmmmmmm,

well seems like its just waaaaay too much hassle. Think ill stick with the stock 16V manifold and downpipe. It is supposed to be my "daily" driver so cant be dealing with insane temperatues cooking my looms and any banging would drive me mental.

Cheers for all the info folks!

I've got the ABF Block with the KR Head in my MK1 and the supersprint 4-2-1 fits perfect [:D]

Am I right in thinking the ABF is a tall block and the 9A and 6A are short blocks?

    Yer it will fit ....

Have a friend running ABF TSR 4branch and a vibrateck front mount. Clears fine (but pretty close) and dont touch.

    Go for it...
