My hall-sender wiring is failing at the plug. Its cracking something terrible and I think it wont be long before one of the three (possibly more) wires breaks. So how do I get the pins out so I can solder new wire directly to the pin(s) Thank you
Stick up a pic. of yours (presumably still in situ)... can show you some images of a Hall sensor from an 8v dizzie taken apart, but if it's nothing like the 16v set up you have will save me the effort.
I thought you were referring to the bit that part would plug into. There seems to be different ones, depending on age / type of Hall sensor... this is just the first random one I found. If it's not what you want, it's possible they or others do the type that will be. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134268657831?_trkparms=amclksrc=ITM&aid=777008&algo=PERSONAL.TOPIC&ao=1&asc=20230811123856&meid=ac6c36e2e6cf4a9cb7f232b23a2dc168&pid=101770&rk=1&rkt=1&itm=134268657831&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=4375194&algv=RecentlyViewedItemsV2&brand=Ultra&_trksid=p4375194.c101770.m146925&_trkparms=parentrq:3eeb220e18b0a8d9e61a462dffffdfc2|pageci:d47695fe-6d1b-11ee-86e3-3a59f20ff616|iid:1|vlpname:vlp_homepage
You can get the pins out with tools you can order from Ali A new plug is also available. It's called "Bosch junior timer" (at least here in NL). Order a set which includes the new pins too, sometimes they come seperately (depending on wire thickness). A new plug also comes with the rubber fittings to reduce moist in the plug. You'll need a (very) decent crimping pliers too, maybe you can lend one somewhere. That's what I did when I made the engine wire harness.
plug isnt a junior timer, its specific type for the dizzy. but the pins are the same as used in junior/power timer plugs though and are widely available
