    hello

ive just bought my mates 16v engine out of his mk2 and we thought it was a 2.0 16v as it used to stay up with my 9a 2.0 16v (164 bhp)thats in my mk1 cabby but after pulling of the rocker cover i noticed it has shrick cams in it [:D] [:D] wich made me think is it a 2.0 so now ive taken the head of its got the same size bores as a standerd 1.8 16v engine i have knocking around [:s] 81mm about right ?
after looking at the head ive noticed it has had some work done to it aswell but im not sure how much im cleaning the head up now when i have done so ill post some good pictures up later today ;)

so what shrick cams have i got ?some codes and letters ive taken of the cams

    end of cam
    220A1
    56101c
    on the cam
    220
    053 ---- 634

    end of cam
    220E1
    56101c

    on the cam
    220
    053 ----602

    220A1 & 220E1 are 16v ausgang and eingang, inlet & exhaust cams
    schrick numbers..

early ones looking by the hand written scribing on em tho.

my catalogue scan is 2002 catalogue so they predate that.

send an email to gmueller@drschrick.de and ask him what spec they are.

    regards
    bill

Any pics of the combustion chamber? that inlet pic looks like it could just be a standard 027 (early) valver head, before the waterway in the casting on the later heads.

the head is dated 90 on the end and my mates car was an 88 so it must have been swapped at some stage
