    Hi Guys,

Bit of a strange query, Ive recently changed the h/g on the KR in the golf. Changed to a 81mm bore g60 MLS gasket. Head was skimmed to the end marker, pressure tested and 3 angled. Block deck was checked for any signs of damage

Waterpump was changed along with a coolant hose. Originally the oil cooler coolant hose had a split, plastic impellor destroyed itself, and engine overheated badly :(

Now thats all changed, ive noticed oily muck in the header tank, and engine is still consuming a slight amount of water? My only thoughts was the oil cooler housing?

When doing the oil change, I noticed the large 27mm nut that held the heat-exchange sandwich plate to the oil filter housing was finger tight. Tightened this up as best as possible. Is there an seal on this unit, or a gasket to the block face that may have leaked?

Got a track day at alton on the 16th October, and want to give the engine a :thumbup:final farewell hooning before it comes out for the new 9a

If you have overtightened the but you have probably crushed the internals of the cooler hence the oil & water mix
