nope, i've seen it before but know nothing about it other than whats written in the pic. does sound pretty impressive though and looks seriously cool
Well it's less than 2 litres, and says 'over head cam' so prob not a 16v (too early for the 16v anyway isn't it??) So I'd say an 8v bored out to 1.9ish with headwork, cams new pistons etc.
Pretty impresive considering Volkswagen have never much success with Motor racing. The Golf Rallye was a Joke really. It was always VW's better looking sister Audi that won everything.
