Distributor was bad changed it tachometer was jumping shutting car down kicking the fuel pump relay changed the oil leaking distributor just for it to start up run then shut off recently purchased three months ago had to change fuel filter for it to run now it doesnt Any one with any ideas the external fuel pump seems to be acting weird
Yes the main pump . I have another fuel filter Iam going to try here today after work. But I replaced the distributor because the oil seals were bad and there was a lot of slope in the gear itself but it will start up first thing in the morning and run ten minutes then won’t start back up at all almost like the new distributor is bad. What it initially was doing the tachometer would start jumping then the car would just shut off back firing . It’s been a honest nightmare. I believe it’s come down to a wiring issue
