Sparrow Alex's mk2 had some of that vwm parts on it
If you look in this picture the wur is done away with
And if you look next to the metering head you'll see the vwm fuel pressure regulator

    All very interesting stuff Rob
Dave d has some 8v vwm kjet parts as well

Could be a thead all on it's own

A customer of mine has seen a similar power figure also at Stealth as GT2...spec not a million miles different either...same cams (KR) ACE bottom end (Audi code of a 9A in simple terms), 4-1 Miltek and a head I did...made something like 188hp @ 148ibft from memory. It made mid 140's at the wheels which isn't 188hp...more like mid 170's, but still good on std cams...so you could knock on the door of 190hp with the 276's.

I wouldn't go much more than that or low and just coming into mid range will suffer and probably feel soft in response...power/response should be good from 4,500 to 7,250 or thereabouts.

yeah I bought sparrows metering head and airflow meter and ran it on my abf originally (with a normal kr wur), wish id been able to put it on the rollers would be interesting to see the difference when i swapped it all out for abf management. the air cone on this one was modified over standard kr unit too, ported out and reprofiled. If only I'd known it was all genuine VW motorsport stuff I would have kept it all

I can enquire, it had a set of new merc brass injectors with it when I swapped it too...

the metering head was a porsche item so might be relatively available, the really special bit was the air cone. I put a couple measurements in here:

Aye i would get it back if you can
The pin in the metering head may be modified as well or just the porsche one
Any thing different on the flap?
Sometimes people add weight too it

the flap itself was same as the normal one, some have a profled bit on the bottom which made me think it wasnt a proper motorsport one. didnt take the pin out to compare either. will be putting out the feelers see if i can find em anyway! I did notice there was no retainign clip on the pin unlike the vw one so the pin could fall out easily if you wernt carefull, I swapped a retainer over to it from one of my other meterign heads iirc

Mike, what did ADE Tuning carry out that day on the car? Just a health check?

Could they carry out further diagnosis? What did they suggest after the dyno runs?

Was just a health check as I'd had issues at oulton park and only got 50 BHP at RE Performance but replaced two injectors and car seemed ok

ADE tweeted the mixture a bit but told me I needed to check the fuel pumps , but I didn't get chance [8(] expensive oversight

ADE have done work on Sambo's Lupo and Nige has visited . Sambo arranged a club dyne day there and they love golfs [:D]
What they can realy do for me I don't know yet just wanted to get car running for Donington when I went but now I want to push the power of rebuilt engine and do all the tweeks I can to get great performance from old Skool kjet

Sounds good and from the reports definitely seen to know what there doing, is that where you plan to get your car setup after the new engine is build? Are you going to change the pumps before you go back?

Have you decided what head and cam setup your going to use?

What cams were fitted in the RE2000 engine?

Going to use the cars original Tsr head with shrick's
Going to test fuel pumps and replace what needs to be :(

No idea on the cams in my gti engineering re2000 and not pulling it apart yet ;) the oettinger had no cams in it bear head :(
Hoping to find what cams are in a re2000 engine when I buy another one in a few weeks :o

The best person in the UK with regards to setting up K-Jet properly from personal experience is Darren Drury at Louth VW.

Definitely, I have a Jetta Gti 16v with re2000 in tucked away and that had fried the live on the jumper loom to the main pump, after the lift pump.

I'm getting fuel but graph shows massive drop of after 6500 rpm so probably worn main pump as track cab suggested

Aged / faulty wiring can affect the pump delivery range, one or both of them ...

In your position the less assumptions the better, IMHO ;)
