Any help on gaining more bhp, which way to go first, shops to purchase bits n bobs from or any parts you have forsale will be realy helpfull.

first things first!....do a search. This is such a popular question and has been answered many times...just stick 'mk4' into the search engine and go from there!

In brief, your largest cost effective gains will come from a ecu remap, which takes the form of either generic, or bespoke varieties. Your car is a DBW car, so something like a revo remap should knock out about 190hp. Afterthis think about filters, exhausts and eventually intercoolers.
Dont forget, the prudent tuner always uprates brakes in line with engine output!

If you are getting a bespoke map, put your filters, exhaust etc on first, then get it mapped. Waste of time mapping it, and then sticking parts on. :)
