just started to strip my 2e bottom and pb head took the head of and grooves, pitting and dents in one of the cylinders and on the piston! looks like a self tapper screw shape but theres no screw ! how is that posible?
any pics? if there was a screw in there, there would probably be damage to the head too, but the screw could well we in bits in your exhaust.
check the piston rings are intact, a small piece broke off in my engine creating pitting on one piston. Does it look anything like this? apologies for crap pic quality!
