As the title - I believe I may have a leaky injector to head seal. When the throttle plate snaps shut on the overrun a seriously annoying 'fizzing' noise presents itself. I'm going to run a primitive stethoscope using some PUR tubing and a judicious amount of tiewraps in an attempt to clarify if in fact this infernal noise is emanating from the injector banks or alternatively from the exhaust as I don't want to have to go to the bother of removing the IM only to discover all is well.

If, however I do go down the latter route am I correct in assuming that as the injectors banks are not 'in line' (as in a stock 4 pot) then in order to remove the injectors from the head one must first remove the fuel rail from the injectors to allow each bank to be removed?

To access and remove the injectors on those = manifold off injector rail and injectors out.
