As the title - I believe I may have a leaky injector to head seal. When the throttle plate snaps shut on the overrun a seriously annoying 'fizzing' noise presents itself. I'm going to run a primitive stethoscope using some PUR tubing and a judicious amount of tiewraps in an attempt to clarify if in fact this infernal noise is emanating from the injector banks or alternatively from the exhaust as I don't want to have to go to the bother of removing the IM only to discover all is well. If, however I do go down the latter route am I correct in assuming that as the injectors banks are not 'in line' (as in a stock 4 pot) then in order to remove the injectors from the head one must first remove the fuel rail from the injectors to allow each bank to be removed?
