Ok a few questions about the audi 6A 2.0l block: 1, are the bigend/thrust/main bearings the same as the KR 1.8 16v? 2, is the crank the same as the KR 1.8 16v? 3, the pistons i have in mine have two groves in the top at one side? which way do the pistons go in, so the groves sit exhaust side or inlet side? 4, are piston ring compressors expensive? 5, anybody know of a good supplyer of engine bearings? following part numbers are the same on the KR and on 6A: (i downloaded etka ) 053 105 431 (B) - Con Rod Bush 034 105 701- Con Rod Bearing Shell 026 198 491 A- Crankshaft Bearing 026 198 421- Thrust washers 048 105 425- Con rod bolt the part number for the 6A Crankshaft is different to the KR, but will compare the two when i take the KR out. also piston ring set for the 6A is 053 198 151 C
