The car sputters and bogs down under load. When it gets up to running temp cuts out as soon as throttle is touched. Idles fine. The car has sat. Ran occasionally but 10 yrs since it was a driver. Fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors replaced. Any help would be appreciated.
start here, ignore the 16v specific bits though just check the kjet basics: http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?195423 assuming its a 1.8 use the timing markers in this thread, ignore the setup procedures: http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?124949 finally for ignition timing this is done at idle with the vacuum line to dizzy disconnected and plugged, using the same flywheel marks as pictured in the above threads. then plug the vacuum line back in and set idle and co with the breather unplugged and inlet side plugged if the oil is quite old
