hi i have a 2l. 2e i want to have the head p+p but need the car i have a 8v 18 gti head off a dx engine will this fit as a straight swap on to the 2e bottom end i am going to run carbs so the injection is not an issue many thanks lee also is there no difference in port sizes as i will have the gti 18 head worked on

yeah you use a 2.0 hg, id recommend the late 2.0 or abf metal one I think the ports/valves are roughly the same, its just the holes on the back of the head/inlet that differe between them.
The key thing is you need to use the inlet manifold and injectors that go with the head, not the block. So if you're putting the DX head on the 2E block you use the manifolds, injectors etc that go with the DX head.
