Does that model come with heated washer jet nozzles? It did come with heated mirrors which no longer work, what could be wrong with them?
The Gti almost certainly should have heated washer jets, look for the wiring for them on the l/h bonnet hinge,with the water pipe. If the rear screen heating is alright, the mirror glasses have probably suffered failure of the heating grid, sandwiched between the glass and the plastic backing. I've only ever found one second hand glass with this working, and that wasn't the cars' original one. The basic non-heated glasses will fit instead, they use the same backing but without the grid.
I dont think thay all come with it as mine didnt. (golf 3 gti 2l 8v). mine is just a standard none heated jet nozzles
