Be interesting to get some figures for Dex's 'bigger' 2 litre as the cc looks impressive on paper , IanB's 9A is very strong at the standard capacity with 268/276s

are you looking at building the engine yourself? or getting it made for you?

 

gonna be building it myself,not starting just yet but need to gather as much info as poss before hand.

 

You're going to need big-end bearings every 15k or less.......

 

why's that then parz?

is that only with a short block engine? or with tall block ones too?

 

With the long throw crank - a bloke on VWvortex builds them for racing - gets 5k out of the ends in racing, 10k on a daily driver...... 15k would probably suit your granny driving style......
