A6 2.7 help

    Hi all, the car is a 2008 2.7 tdi v6
    As i start it up the cooling fans start running even from cold ? it get to running temps and still the fans are going for it they only go of after the key has been pulled.

    any ideas, before i take it to get put on a diagnostics and pay a blooming fortune

    a friends a3 3.2 did this
    his was the engine temp sensor it also needed the fault code cleared before it stoped running all the time

    he was told it could be the fan unit by someone else

    would be worth getting someone to read and clear the fault codes

    may be someone with vag-com on hear that could help
    i'm a bit to far away to do it

    if it's not the above and is the fan modual
    there is a recall for the fan module recall 19f8 could be worth looking to see if you car is covered

    next door neighbour has a friend who works in a Audi garage and is going to check on the system for the recall thing, vag com maybe a bit hard to come by, i do have mates that own and work in garages so will ask them
    all the research i have been doing as come up the same hope its simple and thanks for your help
