Can't seem to find an ABF bottom crankshaft pulley anywhere, new or used (part number 037 105 243 B).
Does anyone know of a company that can make them - or know of another VW model that will fit (even with machining)?
    Car is a 1994 mk3 Golf GTI 16v.
    Thanks

They must be around new as they fail with time and heat from the engine ,the rubber in the dampener splits and the outer spins as I found on my 92 Mk3, end result is the timing mark moves ,makes it rather difficult when you fit a new timing belt to say the least.
They don't all do this strangely enough the used one I fitted came off the same model car, because of that you my find a good used one ,good luck.

Thanks Watercooled. I'm finding it very difficult to locate one - new or used - other than a solid aluminium one without the damper, which people have told me to avoid.

I've only seen these on 2 litre motors so there must be a good reason for them as VW never fitted parts you don't need ,good luck finding one,you may have to import one from the US ,they used the 9a motor version but it should be the same ,have you tried E-bay USA ? .

Watercooled: I'm not sure if KR pulley is different to ABF. Does anyone know?

Zender z20: I'm not sure myself, but I'll have a word with a mechanic who will know - although it looks pretty pricey compared to most pulleys. Thanks

KR uses V belt rather than ribbed, it would fit the ABF and work if you used the rest of the KR pas/alt stuff along with it though

You were advised to avoid due to the lack of dampening for second order harmonics on the crankshaft.
Some of us on here are also on FB.

I suggest take the part number 037 105 243 B and widen your search to the Passat 35 models, Ibiza and Toledo.
Also look at german and polish ebay sites for VW/ABF Kurbelwellenriemenscheibe

The damper is bespoke to the the Seat 1.8 ADL 16v and ABF only.

    Good luck finding one.
