    Hello everybody.

Abf cam position sensor what can I use?

    Using an me221 ecu.

I'm a little stuck trying to figure out what to use to provide a signal for sequential fueling for the injectors.

Any help would be much appreciated guys thank you:)

The original abf distributer has a hall sensor in it. That should do.

In addition, the original ABF dizzy is actually a cam sensor.
Like a kr/6a/9a etc it uses a hall sensor. Unlike those engines there is only 1 cut out in the rotating disc.

Ok cool thank you. So is that a case of simply taking the wires from hall sender then wiring them up to the ecu?

As I will be using a coil pack and how will adjusting the timing with the standalone ecu be affected by using the abf dizzy?

P.s. kudos for having the most accomplished mk1 I've ever seen!

    Thanks again Gurds and Eddie

Thank you DJP. Just a case of constant self improvement and a bit of crazy commitment. Hehe

The hall sensor wiring should be available if you search about. Power, sensor ground and a signal wire back to the ecu should be all it takes.

Kudos to you Gurds! Your car is inspiration for the volkswagen scene and it looks pretty to top things off.

    Good man thank you!
