Anybody know how light you can go with lightening a standard ABF flywheel?

I have one fitted...but think it's still reasonably lardy...just wondered what is considered the lightest realistically acceptable.

    ...and following on from that:
    Who can do the lightening?

Is Herr Hot-Golf still doing work like that?

    Thanks...
    Glen.

Try these, not sure if they are still in business but they had a lightened flywheel to suit my 9A on the shelf. Jim Payne was the person I dealt with, he was very helpful, and genuinly interested in my car and what I was doing.

5.5kg ties up with one I've weighed, skimmed as much as poss on the back.

Rich - did you source the Sachs pressure plate direct? If less than Helix, do recommend the supplier.

Mine wasn't balanced and my engine is silky-smooth at all revs, hasn't shatted yet either

edit-that's with a solid front mount too, don't get any vibrations at all (except for the metal plate that sits behind the pullies, but that's due to it not being secured properly!)

Is Hotgolf Engineering still operating to those in the know?
    Or has he stopped?

I did think about Agra...not too far away if Hotgolf isn't available.

that actually really surprises me, the company who did it have been in the biz for 20 years..really renowned with turbos / diesel engines pumps etc..dont want to offend the guy too much by taking it back [:$]
