Hello everyone, have a problem with my idling. Problem is - there is no idling revs drop down and car shuts down. Here are some things I checked out. 1. I took out the ISV valve - cleaned it. On ignition it is always buzzing. (Guess this one is okay) 2. checked throttle close microswitch. It shows open loop when the throttle is open and some resistance when it is closed. (Guess this one is okay?) 3. I have vcds and I have ABF digifant label files installed, when watching live parameters, Can I tell by there that something went bad? 4. Could this be a vacuum related problem? If yes, which tube should I check?
I had the same, took 3 isv before I found one my car was happy with. will car keep running if you hold throttle slightly open?
Yes, car runs and drives fine when i press gas pedal. I don't think it's an ISV issue since it is buzzing and car was idling fine with it. P.S. this was not the problem 7 months ago, it was 7 months since I last drove the car. And upon starting it, this problem has occured.
all the isv I tried buzzed just fine, just didnt work you can test idle switch using the ecu measuring blocks, there's a bit of chat on it in the label files post: https://www.clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/vag-com-abf-digifant-label-files.199583
Yeah I hope it's not isv.. these things cost a lot and there are only few to choose from AND even then it might not be a correct one
