ADR/AGU engines - what models fitted to

    Since the topic is locked ... ???i had a look on the net and found

    A3 1.8T 1998-1999 AGU
    GOLF 1.8s 1999-2001 AGU is this non turbo ??

    Not sure if this info is for UK spec
    Skodia Oct 1.8 T AGU 08.1997
    Skodia Oct 1.8 T 4x4 AGU 05.2001

    I think ADR/AGU is the launch codes for a nuclear missile, the CGTI mods are just keepig the country's security their utmost priority :lol:

    Tris,

    as far as I'm aware the ADR engines are from the passat/A4. The earlier ones are non VVT and have a large port head, the later ones are the opposite of this.

    The AGU I dont know about, sorry

    They are about tho, I have found a few before now

    AGU is the early 1.8t with the old fashioned throttle,
    i think, dont quote me, check the 1.8t section of the VWvortex forums out for loads of info

    AGU is turbo fitted to mk4 golfs, and audi A3's
    ADR is non turbo and fitted to passats and audi A4's
