I have 1999 vw polo with AFT engine code. Car will not start. Fuel pump will prime up during initial start up. I have traced the problem to the ignition system but still confused on how to do it. I removed the number 1 ignition lead and put a spark plug. If i turn the key into ignition position only without cranking the engine, spark comes out from # 1 spark plug, but if I crank the engine, no sparks comes out. Tried reading fault codes using VAG COM but it only says about the throttle position switch. BTW ECU relay is a bit hot when touching even if the car engine is not running. Help! Cheers!
