254 TPFT! not bad eh! Shame I've now got to tell them about the VR6 conversion and the 42 day ban due to the SP50......... How much do you reckon it'll cost me? 1994 corrado 8v, converted to a VR6. about 215BHP, 6speed, etc etc. I put the value at about 7000 (which means I'll have to go for fully comp) 5 year NCD 28 years old YO41 postcode. I'm guessing about 700??
a poke in the eye? I was only paying 800 3 years ago for a mk2 vr6, living in Teesside. they can goand f*ck if they still want me to fork that out now I've got 5 years NCD, nearly 30 and living in the country.
Fair enough, personally I do seem to end up paying much the same amount for my insurance every year, - every time something helps me out (a year older, more NCD, better postcode) something else bites me on the arse, (points, car more expensive, gf wants to drive too). Such is life... My guess was based on my Bora V6 4motion which costs me 840/year, with full NCD. I have points but no ban, am a touch younger and the cars value would be higher, so I figured it might balance out. Fingers crossed mate
10 months ago i paid 580 fully comp with greenlight after about 6 hours of ringing around fo quotes on a standard(apart from suspension) golf vr6 highline. im 29 with 10years ncb and no points living in the sticks. id hazzard a guess around the 800 mark for you
well, I only paid 236 TPFT for almost excatly the same enigine and box but in a mk2 golf valued at 4000. so they are taking the p1ss if they want more than 600 to insure the smae thing but in a corrado 5 years newer that that golf.
wont you be paying a corrado premium now though and the ban cant help. that mk2 vr quote was good, who with?
With HIC. Why should the corrado be any higher? Sure, the panels are more expensive, but if it's TPFT then they can't use that as an excuse to inflate the premuim. I can see me having a huge argument with them any minute now because they'll hike the premuim up becasue it used to be an 8v.
wont they base the insurance on a corrado vr6 which is what it effectively is? quite an expensive car to insure
I don't know whether they'll class it as a VR6 or a modified 8v. I'll see what they say, ringing them right now.
hic?? i was on hold for fecking ages too, i would of thought they'd base the quote on an 8v modified as well.
