Usually they'll keep the car for a day, a lot of trim and loom needs to come out and the brain needs hiding in a secure postion with all the joints soldered. It can take some time...

wouldnt skimp too much on fitting as u'll be p***** off if ur car wont start due to dodgy cheep labour. Although its hard to tell dodgy cheep labour from dodgy expensive labour.
well chuffed with mine 270 fitted inc full closure + shock module. (local (suffolk) chap)

Whats that place called Sciroccotune ?
I bought mine form ebay for 100 But my central locking is not working its had a new pump and if I unplug the pump and plug it in again it'll lock once and not unlock sort of reseting it self, And my full closure had to be disconnected as it stops the windows from operating when its pluged in [:s] Any ideas ?

I should do.The garage which quoted that price also said that as my car's a mk1 golf cabrio i would need MICROWAVE sensors instead of the sensors s supplied with ther alarm, or the car alarm will be going off contiualy because of the rag top and wind ,is this just aload of 5hit to get money out of me or is there some truth there?

'Sort-of' true, but that would only be with the roof down for a start!! You can turn the sensers off so it only responds to shock / current etc for 'when' you do put the roof down... (i.e when its not raning!! )
