Hi, Just after a few ideas on best place and how to mount my airjacks on my mk1. its consists of 3 airjacks. i have a far idea but thought getting a few more opinions may unearth a better way. cheers
There's not a lot of space, but front two in the footwells, immediately below the A-pillar, or possibly at the rear edge of the front arches, gusseted to the inner arches. Rear one on a front or rearwards face of the spare wheel well, again gusseted on. If that's been chopped out, try the reinforcement box just to the front of the spare wheel well.
like you say not much space! cage is right in the way also up front. could i go in front of the reinforcement box just to the front of the spare wheel well?
It really needs a look at various race car pics to see what's been done. Tourers have drivers moved inwards, so that'll provide a misleading impression.
