    My dad in the past has fitted alarms to several of his cars with relativley good success, i have seen on eb@y lots of alarms some by cobra and toad which seem to be good, has any1 bought an alarm off eb@y what do you reckon?

    yep, just bought a Clifford Avantguard G5 off alarmsandmore112. 280 all in, including postage from Florida and import tax. cheapest I could find it over here was 850.

    Comes will all fitting instructions too. if you've got a multimeter and a soldering iron and some shrink wrap you can fit it yourself.

    It's the best that Clifford have ever done, so I should hope so!

    SNAP I JUST BOUGHT A G5 INTELLIGUARD FROM ALARMSANDMORE112 OF EBAY FOR 190 SQUIDS INC POSTAGE FROM STATES .....JUST NEED SOMEONE TO FIT IT FOR ME NOW!!!!! CLIFORD DIRECT SAY SAME ALARM WILL BE 900+ WHEN IT COMES TO UK

    Does anyone knwo What the score is with insurance if you fit alarms yourself?? Most companies i have soken to say that they need a certificate from the installer to make a difference with my quote......

    Once you fitted it go to your nearest friendly alarm\ICE shop and say you brought the car with it fitted abut havent got the paperwork, they will check it and issue you the certificate.

    Costs a fiver, i did in on one of my old motors (took it for a certificate not fitted it)

    So are these type of alarm very easy to fit and are the instructions in English??

    I had a look on ebay.com at these alarms and couldnt find any..... am i looking in the wrong place or something?? [:s]

    alarmsandmore112@hotmail.com is the guys email as he no lomger trades on ebay . tell him you got his email from lloyd and he will sort you out

    Great, thansk mate.

    Is it only Clifford Avantguard G5 that he sells or does he sell all different Clifford models??

    he can get most cliffords and their accesories but i would advise a g5 as they are dirt cheap and will cost a bomb when launched in uk

    Double check with your insurers that it will actually make a difference before you bother getting a certificate, wont make any difference on mine :(
