Got my new car 2 weeks ago now and its got a foxguard immobiliser (propper old school:lol: ). No alarm though. Feckin worried about leaving it anywhere, including outside my house, even though my road and area is fairly trouble free.

All my previous cars have been alarmed, and i'm looking to invest 250 for a basic alarm for my Golf. I'm thinking toad. What can I get with my budget. What do people have that doesn't f*ck up like a Clifford? I'm in High Wycombe.

Seriously Clifford does not f**k up if you go to an authorised dealer that knows what they are doing. We are authorised dealers for all alarm makes but only install Clifford on our own vehicles as they are the only ones that have moved with technology.

We do a standard alsrm for the 150 mark. toad are very good alarms but just standard and you are really paying too much for a standard alarm

well the answer I was is yes you can, however, on a toad system because it mongs up the immobilizer it lowers its thatcham status, therefore not a very good idea...And also theres problems about fitted them to manual cars, autos its ok though...

just ask mr toad himself on here, great guy
