Got my new car 2 weeks ago now and its got a foxguard immobiliser (propper old school ). No alarm though. Feckin worried about leaving it anywhere, including outside my house, even though my road and area is fairly trouble free. All my previous cars have been alarmed, and i'm looking to invest 250 for a basic alarm for my Golf. I'm thinking toad. What can I get with my budget. What do people have that doesn't f*ck up like a Clifford? I'm in High Wycombe.
Seriously Clifford does not f**k up if you go to an authorised dealer that knows what they are doing. We are authorised dealers for all alarm makes but only install Clifford on our own vehicles as they are the only ones that have moved with technology. We do a standard alsrm for the 150 mark. toad are very good alarms but just standard and you are really paying too much for a standard alarm www.motorguarduk.co.uk
A Clifford for 150 is going to pretty much sh*t.! Toad AI606 is the best for the price... and quality..! 200 fitted mate.! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8077297279&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1 Hope that helps
Ive got my new car with no alarm. Think i'll be getting the Toad Ai606. Heard only good things about them.
150 is not for a Clifford brand. We do a hornet make for that price. Sky is the limit, 200 is again not a lot for an alarm. People even spend up to 1000 for a alarm system
I have a Toad ai606 myself, it does the job and you can get the bells and whistles added to it, I plan to add proximity, shock and tilt next
ye mine has a toad AI606, although im having trouble with it at the moment.... But anyway, can you get remote ignition fitted to it?
Just bought a toad ai606 alarm aswell, hoping to fit it next weekend. Also bought one of them warning sensors, so if anyone near the car it beeps at them. Cant wait to fit it
well the answer I was is yes you can, however, on a toad system because it mongs up the immobilizer it lowers its thatcham status, therefore not a very good idea...And also theres problems about fitted them to manual cars, autos its ok though... just ask mr toad himself on here, great guy dave
i have a toad ai606 have had for almost 2 years and never a problem - total closure, and pops the boot open too
