Sounds really sweet golfgirl  .

However you need to find a longer tunnel, one that you can "blast" through. Get someone to stand in there with the video camera rolling. I did this for my mate when he put a new zorst on his MR2 [:D]'s all round.

GVK - The quality of those clips looks really good. What make and model of video camera are you using? I've been thinking of getting myself one for a while now, but I want to get one that does excellent still pics as well.

    Cheers

Yorkie, it's a Panasonic NV-DS37 a few years old but works ok..

I've never done any still pics with it, so can't comment on that.

Yeah, we need an excuse to go to Dartford tunnel I think

Cheers GVK. As I said I'm thinking of getting myself one soonish, so I'm just trying to get any idea of decent makes and what features I should be looking for.

OMG the Dartford tunnel would be mental

    Cheers

yes i heard Gary    [:s] i also heard you giggling! then blipping the throttle! not as good as the real thing though! ;)

oh then he woke up and the sheets were all messy! [:D] [:$]

Dart ford tunnel is great! me and Alex coming back from Brighton had a good run through there! got a vid some were but sadly most of its wind noise [:^(](alex you need a proper dv camera! or i'll borrow one from work ;) so we lost the sound, in fact we hit at least three tunnels on the way back from brighton, dartford being the longest and probably the most loud, but hadfield (galleria) was fun too!

Glad you like the conversion; makes the R32 a bit more like it should've been from the factory, doesn't it?

Sod's law AmD raise the rev limit to 7.2k after I've sold mine, I kept asking them when they were going to be happy to do it!

Did you feel as though the cam mod (stage 3) was worthwhile Mick?

Read on another forum that it only pushes the power band further up the rev range (usual for a cam swap)

Seems a wild claim, 30bhp from a cam swap too...

Yeah, I've just seen that thread on uk-mkivs, I'll post something up. I was more than happy with the cams and the shape of the power cruve wasn't a surprise, as you say.

Saying that, it was a tad frustrating having peak power at 6,600rpm and the rev limiter still at a stock 6,700pm mind; although it looks like AmD have amended that for all their R32 re-maps now. Moving from the stage 2 to 3 with the cams and 4 with the sports cat I lost no bottom end torque (from stage 2) and the car def pulled better above 5k. At Bruntingthorpe it hit an extra 6mph top speed on the Racelogic vBox (vs Stage 2 recorded with Racelogic vBox) and I felt there was more to come but the day I tested in stage 4 spec it was wet and I was leaving longer for braking at the end of the straight.

At AmD mine was 241bhp stock, 272bhp with stage 2 and 300.5bhp with stage 3. I know the arguments re. different rollers on different days, etc but I've always run my motors on my local rolling road at Well Lane as a back up, as over the years I've been to many rolling road events there and seen stock cars consistently give stock power there. At WL my R32 with stage 2 gave 265bhp and with the stage 4 (I'd got Milltek sports cat by then) it gave 307bhp at a Club RR day in Oct 03.
