Probably "smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana.

Kurt didn't want it on the album, and thought it was mindless, pointless cr*p. But Geffen records put it on anyway. Perhaps if it wasn't for that song, he wouldn't have felt like a sellout, and he'd still be here?

I just loathe the way people think it's " the #1 rock song of all time" b*ll*cks, what about "brown sugar" or "black night" or even "comfortably numb"? Infact the song that was about the average "jock" was loved by the very people it took the urine out of? and the chorus is really bad,

"with the lights out, it's less dangerous,
here we are now, entertain us,
    I feel stupid and contagious,
here we are now entertain us,
A mullatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido."

Means nothing to me? They should've released "something in the way"
at least that had a real meaning.

    Who gives a monkeys about `meaning` ?

If it sounds good and you like it, who cares.

Anything that's been covered by some no-neck talentless assclowns.

    West-f*cking-life. [:x]

And all the other inbred assholes that can't come up with an ounce of originality.

(at least the JCB song is different)

P.S. I don't like the JCB song either.

The beat from Fairground by Simply Red is a sample from a track called 'Give it up' by 'The Good men', iirc. Early 90's Dance/Pop crossover.

    Geeky knowledge I know.

When you put it like that, thank fuck for Geffen.

    Fordo!:)

Thats a bit harsh isn't it? So you'd rather he was dead? I really dislike dance music, doesn't mean I think dj sammy should be so miserablehe/she (who knows?) thinks the only thing left is toshoot herself?

Nirvana changed the face of music forever, as did the sex pistols before them. Before that there was the Beatles and the Stones! How many artists cover they're songs?

Oh and I've changed my mind. Cheryl Crows cover of "sweet child of mine" is abismal. The original wasn't great but I mean come on?

    Said this so many times.

You don't have to be good to be influential. Both of the above are cases in point imo.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. As long as it's the right one:lol:.

Everybody seems to have forgotten that awful cover of 'Mad World' by Gary Jules...

I had to see him live because I wanted to see Jason Mraz and they were doing a side-by-side show with a couple of duets. I walked out halfway through Gary Jules only to find that Jason Mraz came back on and performed the full nine-and-a-half minutes of 'Dream Life of Rand McNally' [:^(][:^(]

Maybe he'll do it on the 7th when I go see him again.

I agree with most of the songs on here as well though anyway, except for 'Baggy Trousers' and 'Fairground' as I've always rather liked those... I have their respective albums as well [:$].

    I'll shutup now,
    Adam.
