Don't get me wrong guys, I love Mk2 golf Gti's as much as the next man on this forum.. but when this one came my way with a big dent in the rear quarter panel, the only sane thing to do was break it for spares. Mechanically it was a minter so seemed a shame, but it will live on in spirit!

See the photos from before, during and after.

I still have most of the parts available FOR SALE so PM me if you want anything. Also see my listing in the parts FOR SALE section.

(Wheels, body kit, bumpers, interior already sold)

You considered contacting your local lowrider's club about what you're doing?

Don`t worry, that Corrrado was a total rot-box, and wouldn`t have been worth saving...

Corrado pictures make me tear up a little.

    Still got the rims?

How bad was the Mk2 dent? Couldn't it just be knocked out or panel replaced?

with the mk2 was there any real need n cutting the roof off, or was it just cos you could?

i have a bad habit of sending mk2s to scrap, mianly cos i buy them with recaros and need to make the outlay back quick, but the red one below was written off when a bloke who came to pick up parts off the F reg 16v crashed into the back of me, yes it was a CGTI member haha...

    roof chop

the plan was to chop the whole car up into small enough pieces to take it away in pieces - but it was raining pretty hard that day and started to go dark so we really couldn't be bothered - so gave up after the roof came off.

Made removing the headlining much easier just flipping the roof off though.
