While I was away with the cadets last week I used all my contacts to get an Apache to come and play on our exercise. This was the end result! He gave us an hour worth of air time and then landed and gave a talk and let the cadets take photos and look at it all! and thats me, a publicity shot for the signals guys. As it was their radios I borrowed to talk to the chopper. An amazing time was had by all! The best exercise I have ever conducted!
Wow, wow, wow. How cool is that. I was just telling someone this morning at work to get there son to join the cadets as you get to do some amazing things. Thanks for backing me up. lol
I've been in the ACF as an instructor now for 7 years! Was also a cadet for 3 years or so! Best thing ever!
Forums are always the same, my chopper's bigger than yours! Love the second shot Ant, pity he couldn't squeeze a few rounds off for you.
I was in the ACF for 5 years and never got apache's on exercise [:^(] Was a great experience for a teenage boy though fair play for going back as an AI
Beautiful piece of kit. I was an Air Cadet at RAF Middle Wallop in 1991 when Longbow made it's first appearance.
