Im gonna be nice (although I hate them and there agressive marketing tactics) and post a link to 18 tracks by the apparent saviours of the world, the new smiths or whatever they are this second. Just dont tell me how good they are here
we have just finished yesterday doing the PA for there uk tour. Not really my thing, but to be fair to the lads they know how to perform stef
The Sound mate..... Main PA sytem, monitors, FOH desk, mons desk, mics etc etc Basically everything so they could perform on stage. stef
are you an engineer? so am I! I run a bookings agency now though...still engineer the odd gig, tech too!
I'm more your PA tech, i started working where i am now looking after and maintaining all the different systems we have. Just recently got trained up on l'acoustics VDOSC sytem. I've never really been interested in going out on the tours or festivals that we do, i prefer to get involved with the managment side back at our place. Which is what i'm doing at the moment. If need be though, i can go out to rig and set up etc. stef
cool...I was offered a few gigs with them ealier this ear but turned them down as I think they are a second rate Libertines. what venue u at?
Libertines are amazing, but sadly have all the rubbish that goes along with them....Nirvana spawned Nickelback, The libs spawned Artic monkeys! Seriously though, there ok, but terrible lyrics. Gutted there gonna be no1 on sunday though
thought you worked in the industry . The Arctic Monkeys are top, so much better than the libertines. The lyrics too are often very good.
Ha ha... no. I like them. I think they're light-hearted and irreverant with a faint sense of pathos. They achieve a sound that is both generic and commercial with consummate ease and a sense of self-deprecation that belies their obvious drive and commitment. Catchy tunes man.
Ive just posted a dead long reply and lost it!! Grr. here goes again Belle&Sebastian,Ryan Adams, Young Knives, Pantera, Larikin Love, Regina Spector, Giant Drag, Be your Own Pet, Bullet For My Valentine, The Smiths, System of a down, Clap your hands say yeah...Thats it so far today.
