Computer generated impression is in this weeks Autoexpress. Its still not been officially confirmed, despite the "New Scirocco Its Official" tagline from this weeks publication.

i thought this was the new rocco, looks like vw have taken a leaf out of porche's book (less style changes more power)
well it states its a rocco as i said, i dont know if it official or not, might be someone messing around on photoshop?
I found that pic of the roco today, it defo is an artists impression of a new Roco I've heard 2008 mentioned as the realease date. The bonnet looks out of proportion to everthing else.
It is a photoshop. No official pictures have been released by VW. Autoexpress have cobbled that image together after hearing confirmation of a Coupe at a VW Presentation in german. I personally think a small Golf-based coupe is a great idea. Just hope they dont do what they did with the Corrado and make it too expensive!! As for the handling being crap - I doubt it very much. The MK5 Golf chassis is a fantastic piece of kit.
It'd be expensive regardless of whether it was any good as it would be pitched above the Golf Gti so they'd price it above that to show it was worth it or something like that.
Wasn't the scirocco a good bit lighter than the golfs it was based on? If anything, this one is probably going to be heavier than the golf V
