Computer generated impression is in this weeks Autoexpress. Its still not been officially confirmed, despite the "New Scirocco Its Official" tagline from this weeks publication.

    Looks Bloody Awful!

Why revive something after 13 years?
Might as well Rename the thing!

    Eh? [:s]

They discontinued the Mk.2 Scirocco 1992?

When did they stop producing the Golf?

haven't you noticed that vw like to cash in on past success stories rather than selling new cars on the basis that they're actually good?!

I found that pic of the roco today, it defo is an artists impression of a new Roco I've heard 2008 mentioned as the realease date. The bonnet looks out of proportion to everthing else. [xx(]

It is a photoshop. No official pictures have been released by VW. Autoexpress have cobbled that image together after hearing confirmation of a Coupe at a VW Presentation in german.

I personally think a small Golf-based coupe is a great idea. Just hope they dont do what they did with the Corrado and make it too expensive!!

As for the handling being crap - I doubt it very much. The MK5 Golf chassis is a fantastic piece of kit.

It'd be expensive regardless of whether it was any good as it would be pitched above the Golf Gti so they'd price it above that to show it was worth it or something like that.

Wasn't the scirocco a good bit lighter than the golfs it was based on? If anything, this one is probably going to be heavier than the golf V
