Its just not working [xx(] , I cannot get the valver engine to do more than idle.

The car starts on the button and idles with no worries,
Problem is the throttle dont work just rumbles and nothing more!

Ive changed the throttle body, then the metered head, then the wur, then the ISV.

    Disconnected isv no response
    Disconnected throttle switch no response
    Disconnect cold start no response

    Help [:$]

Make sure the big air pipe between metering head and throttle body is on properly, sounds daft but if there's an air leak between the top of the metering head and throttle body it won't run properly. Also check the rubber pipe is seated onto the grey valve under the air pipe.

Have you fitted a cam belt recently ? - I'd check the cam timing too, as thinking about it the massive air leak would affect the idling..

I have simply taken the engine out my jetta and put it in the golf, the engine has done less that 110k and was working great,

Belt was done last year and timing was fine in the jetta.

Ive double, triple checked the pipe work and replaced the grey valve attached to the box and plastic pipe.

There cant fine any air leaks.

Ive not changed the cold start valve could that be it ?

Cold start valve wouldn't make any difference, unless it was flooding the engine, which i very much doubt

it could be if you had trouble before you put this engine in?
have you checked the metering head flap moves freely?

No trouble with the engine when it was in the jetta,

The engine is not flooding just trying to graps at straws [:s] ,

I put the air box in that was in the jetta, I will check the flap, and re-check the timing.
