    Nice find Gary. [:D]

Did a quick comparison with your lap 1 vid in the R32 from Bergwerk to the Gantry...

Bergwerk to Karussell + 7 secs
Karussell to Wipperman + 5 secs
Wipperman to Kleiner Karussell + 13 secs (R32 held up by bike ~ 5 secs)
Kleiner Karussell to Gantry + 1 sec

So from Bergwerk to the Gantry, the little pocket rocket was at least 20 seconds quicker, given you were held up for around 5 secs. :p

I would have thought the quite torqueless 1300 would be a bit puny up the hill but I guess the weight makes a very large difference to the climbing rate.

(Then again he would probably be at peak torque up that hill at silly revs. [:$] )

    That's excellent!

That Beemer was flying on the straight, but way too twitchy on the twisties!

Is that an original Porsche colour, on that 911? And was the Beemer the same colour?

I would suggest that he has probably done more than 60 laps of the 'ring

I would also say that he hardly braked during most of that lap, could hear the odd squeak from the brakes thats it, and some of the corners he's flat in top are one if not two gears (maybe 3 in the R32) down from top for me [:$]

It does like it's labouring up Kesselchen tho, mind you most things sub 300 bhp do.

I love the tow from the escort at the end. How intimidating must that be, and you can see the escort trying to get out the way and indicating him past, haha.

On a vaguely related note, when are you doing next years 'ring trip gvk? And also, what's your first name? Referring to you as gvk is a little bit weird.

    I've been called worse :p

I would say at the mo, we'll be looking at going end July/August again, just a case of waiting for the opening times to be released in Feb/March 2006 and trying to decide when is best time to go - Had Thursday eve, Friday afternoon/evening, Full days Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoon where we could've been on track this year.

    Gary.

Nice one...he definitely needs a longer diff though!

Is an audi 50 basically the same as a Mk1 polo? I wonder how it would go with a G40 lump in it?

aaah the sweet lupine howl of straight cut gears

A touch I'd say, having just watched it:lol:

If it had another 50 bhp it'd be storming, but then the youngtimer series doesn't allow the toys you need for that...

Watched this vid last night and I can confirm that it's nothing like my Mk1 Polo in the handling and speed department... mine is way quicker...

140PS from 1300cc is good going, sounds like it needs longer gearing on the straights, corners fantastically though. Very impressive stuff, make me want to strip my Polo out to make the most of the 50bhp on offer! :p
