Couple of small problems there, the 16v only has 256mm brakes, and they're 4x108.

If you have 88> VW 16v hubs though, the calipers and carriers will fit, but if you have 16v hubs then you'll already have 256 16v brakes too....

oh i see, no good to me then, i have some seat hubs ready for a 280 conversion and most of the other parts just presumed they were gonna be the right callipers, thanks for confirming my issue:thumbup:

I've come across a couple of audi 80's with G60 calipers fitted as standard, the offset is different so the discs are no good but the giveaway is the holes around the disc like g60's have.
Not seen them on a 16v before but these were 2.0 8v!

16v's have vented discs too if that's what you mean, also 16v calipers can be used as part of a G60 setup :)

Audi's of that vintage have great big twin pot calipers on the 280 setups so they're pretty easy to spot!

Looks like you have a pair of G60 calipers then
Saw another set yesterday on a 10v Audi.

It's a mute point but for anyone else interested, the audi 80 discs have a different centrebore and offset.

There is a 16v 80 estate in a scrappers near me that had 280s. Donated it's carriers for my conversion:)

Also has an ACE motor still sat in it!

I feel cheated, my first engine donor only had 256's!

Which I suppose was made up for by the twin pots on my most recent donor [:p]
