    Hi,
My daughters A3 1.6 engine code BFQ "overheated"

Temp Gauge 120 Deg C flashing light stopped immediately.

Thermostate appeard jammed shut, poor circulation through the Rad. No heat from the heater.

    Suspect water pump ??

Changed the Temp Sender, as when Ign is switched on it reads 70 Deg even if off overnight.
New sensor same 70 Deg C "default" on gauge.
Connected an OB2 reader, the new sensor and probabley old one are OK, but gauge is "out"
Ibelieve the ECU uses the sensor and sensor at Rad outlet to control fans.

A bit confusing, but before I srip out timing belt and W Pump any advice.

I tried Audi-Sport forum, but not as good as on here !

    Thanks
