Looking for new brake calipers for a B5 A4 2.8 quattro saloon, have found several places offering refurbished / exchange items - any recommendations please ?

    Thank you.

Look up http://www.biggred.co.uk They do varying levels of refurbished calipers and seal kits if you want to do it yourself. I've bought a seal kit from them recently, they're helpful, on the phone and it's very good quality kit.

Definitely ATE, not sure of the number.

ACK ... three of the four bleed nipples are seized - scared to attempt further persuasion , pad to disc contact patch is poor, performance is acceptable ... just.

Passes MOT OK but with those nipples the fluid change is overdue.

Given my limited time at home am looking for a `quick fix`.

    Thank you

Go to the local motor factor and get 4 new ones exchange
Some times you even end up with new ones rather than recon ones

When you do fit new / recon callipers, consider fitting stainless-steel bleed nipples, now available from Hosetechnik ( Forge Motorsport ) also braided steel lines...
