yep that right have sold COSWORTH engineering and not to ford either, so to all the ford boys that say cosworth was never part of the audi group read and weep, sorry a little dig at a mate there, not to upset anyone here clicky here
Anyone else think Mahle are putting pride in their brand ahead of common sense in ditching the Cosworth name?
Mercedes actually got in with Cosworth before Ford did with the Sierra but i believe snobbery on Mercedes part meant they didn't want a publicised link unlike Ford. Also the reason they moved production of the 2.5-16 engine in house unlike the Cosworth made 2.3-16. Edited by: NicD
but the cosworth was clearly used in fords before hand. did anyone say BDA? edit: 1959 * Project Mk I: modified 4 cylinder pushrod Ford 105E Anglia engine Edited by: LathamEscortMK2
TBH I'm glad. Was talking with a few on this one recently and it wouldn't have been long before the badge appeared on an Audi, which would have been sooooooooooooo wrong.
