I cleared the faults but they just came back up. I have checked the wiring to the haldex there is power going to the haldex but nothing coming out? Could this mean that the haldex controller is nakerd?

    Cheers.

Yes there is one 5 amp fuse in there

by the reading of the error the ABS can't see the haldex - wiring the first starting point looking for poor connections/rusty or broke wire

It still doesnt mean it is deffo haldex controller

All you have proven by doing above is that the pump and diff works

Haldex ecu relies on various other inputs from main ecu and other sensors

If this comunication path is broke then haldex ecu will not operate properly

    what other inputs are ther?
i have put vag_com on it and these are the only faults

01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492)

i have tested all the wires going in the haldex controller there is power going in (i put a pin prick in the wires to test rite next to the controller when i did this)
but there is nothing cumming out to the pre charge pump but the pump is working when i put
    a live wire to it.

    Throttle angle
    Speed sensor
    Abs
    Traction control
    Engine load

I am sure there is more things main and haldex ecu-s are relying on to decide when to activate the pump

I hope it is what you are saying but its not only voltage supply thats needed to diagnose if all is well haldex end

    Where do you live? Manchester?

You can borrow my haldex controller to try it out and check if thats all thats wrong on your car

    I am only in Blackpool
