Badger Wagen now running on its new engine..
The Badger-mobile is back... collected from my friends @ Jabba Saturday.

Engine is now running 83mm 8.5:1 JE pistons, forged rods, ported largeport head, Supertech valves, PE1820 turbo, 3" DP (Dans), Dual Plenum intake manifold, oil cooler, 520cc/3bar injectors and RS4 MAF (last 2 to be fitted prior to mapping)

Runs without ABS now and aircon system has been removed. - mucho weight reduction. Mapped in a week or so, when I have got as many miles on it as possible in the mean time.

Hoping for 400bhp/400lbft, but we will have to see. I can dream
Lighter car will yield most performance gains I think.

Cars on a diet as is its owner/driver. [:s]
Morphing car into a race car for Combe C'ship next year. (I will retain it as a road legal car for fun tho)

Looks good Bill, what's the theory behind the "Dual Plenum intake manifold".

Still looks innocent externally! Monster performance with 400odd BHP...

How long are you hoping to get out of each gearbox with that power Bill?? [:$]

Even filling on cylinders is the theory from the dual bit. As seen on WRC cars and Dahlback version which I tried but did'nt like cos it would not go large port and was too tall to clear ibiza bonnet line.

I retired the old engine. Did 343bhp just before it was removed at Jabba. Ring blow by was getting pretty bad I think as the breather system was chuffing a lot.

Did'nt know about the TSR day.. but yea maybe if its back in time and running right. Whens the TSR day?
