Out of curiosity, how many track days did you get out of yours?

I can get any Toyo's at those prices all year round, but I've said too much already!

I'm actually looking at slapping a set of triple 8's on my Mk1 for track use. People's thoughts on these?

Just have to decide whether to use them on my G60 steels, or my shiny new Wellers?

They don't last anything like a 'normal road tyre' my fronts did about 4k and 2 track days.

And as you're whining on that other thread about how much fuel a VR uses......

Also, they are noisy, tramline over white lines and not great in standing water.

I don't do mega distances on the road in my track car anymore like I used to...., use it for work sometimes (15 mile a day) and drive to circuits etc , for someone who does 1000 miles a month they'd always be replacing them, however saying that if they didn't do track days they'd last longer  That kind of misses 'the point' to the R888s tho..

ive got eagles on at the moment. they are lovely in terms of wet and dry performance, but the noise and the wear rate arnt exactly wallet friendly... but they do seem to last 6k-8k miles and behave brilliantly in the wet

i was just looking for an alternative to the predictably brilliant eagles.
