Thought I'd see who thought who had the best sig. Been done before? Oh well. Here are my personal top five: 1. Yorkie Just pipped mk1vdub due to the grid-like effect and finishing. 2. mk1vdub Excellent. Just my thing. Nice and minimal and professional-looking. 3. RECARDO Another clean, clear one. Good photo. 4. jbmg40 Goo graphical work. 5. tubthumped Had to include it. Not great and not finished, but just captures that little something. With also-rans being: 6. Valver Clean and clear again, although a little overexposed. 7. Altrezia Nice and web-like trypych 8. 20vee_t Very magazine-esque. 9. Peter Looks like an old '80's billboard poster or mag ad. poo! Missed tubthumped off the poll. Sorry! Can't be arsed to insert all those images again! Edited by: Ben's16v
Wheres mine??? I seriously need to improve it...but have no good skills with photochop etc!!! I voted recardo's btw!
Lots of good, large pics are usually needed to 'shop things well, but I did this with your sig in 2 minutes... I really go for the pixellated look and it's easy to do with low quality pics (just zoom in!).
wow thanks! yeah a good quality picture is the main thing to have when making a sig. that way it will always look crisp. if your picture is good you dont need to do much photoshop work. sometimes just making the background black and white works well. yorkie how do you get the that blind effect? i wish i could have two sigs sometimes, these are my old ones
The first and the third are pretty good. Can't say the same for the forth though! Just going to the effort to get the photo's used in those two sigs is worth it if you can make your car look special. Here's another attempt RSSGOLF...
DarrenW - Yours looks like your poor car has had an accident! It looks like two blended pictures rather than a stretched one. Haven't seen b'locks' new one. velly_16v_cab - I like yours too - a bit like tubthumped's in the way it's got character.
Piece of cake. In Photoshop... 1. Create a new document 1 pixel by 4 pixels high in RGB. 2. Use the pencil tool and colour in the top two pixels in black and leave the bottom two white. 3. Select all. 4. Go to Edit > Define Pattern 5. Name it, something like Scan Lines or TV screen. 6. Go to your document and go to Edit > Fill. 7. Use: Pattern and select the above pattern. 8. Now drop the Opacity down until you can see the image behind. If anyone whats to know how to do a carbon fibre effect, just let me know. Cheers Jamie
