Hi guys, I've got vcds lite, and I've tryed 2 eBay blue wires and both keep giving me no response from controller, and yes I've done the com ports uninstalled drivers and reinstalled etc, been told the wires are a joke! So I need a wire that works... Any help would be grate Thanks
You mean this cable right? Take note of "VAG KKL" I got it off ebay, it needed the UART serial to USB driver and some fooling around making ports available as VCDS lite won't use high COM ports from memory.

I've bought many 'cheap crappy' vcds cables from ebay, they have all been fine if your laptop has a proper serial port you could go for a serial cable, then you dont have to worry about drivers or messing with com ports
