This has been already posted on Tyresmoke.net so you may have read it any help appreciated guys. Cheers.

At ten past six last night I heard knock on my door, I was watching the Man Utd game and working on my laptop in on the Lounge dining table. I ignored the first knock but when the door knocked again I went to the front door and opened the door. Just as I turned the key in the door the figure who was standing about eight feet back from the door rushed the door and knocked me over at the moment three other males rushed into my hall shouting "We have got a gun, where are your car keys"

I was bundled to the floor by the four males and they picked me up and bundled me into the lounge still shouting "Where are your car keys, we have a gun" I was pushed onto the settee and a pillow was put over my face and was told not to look. They also at this point took the car keys, my wallet with my credit cards and 20 in cash and driving license. They also took my HP PDA, Motorola V3 and also my Samsung Mobile. Amazingly they never took my Omega Speedmaster that was next to my wallet and phone. The cheeky gits also took my laptop and the last guy out even came back to ask were the power adaptor was for the laptop. They made two errors though which have left vital DNA on the scene which I wont go into and the police reckon if they have previous they will get them. They also left a stolen escort running outside my house with more DNA on it.

The police were there withn fifteen minutes and stayed for three hours and CID and SOC were also on site within half an hour. My parents were also round within half an hour and six mates were round and my family and mats have been ace.

Today I still feel shook up, stayed at my parents last night and now just want to scrub my house from top to bottom as it feels dirty. I have lost my pride and joy but part of me cant care about that, it is insured with Gap insurance. At present I am more slightly intoxicated that my phone with all my numbers has gone and also my laptop has gone with all my work on there and e-mails.

The R32 is greatly admired by the wrong people and at the moment I dont think I want that car back or an R32 again. With my gap insurance I think I will get about four thousand back cash after I have paid off my finance. If you have an R32 be careful, mine was locked and is always parked behind gates at night, but the half an hour I left it on my drive before I put it away was enough for them to take it. Having a gun next to your temple has put my love of fast cars into perspective. Is it worth it seeing my mom, brother and best mate crying last night when they thought I could be shot is a sobering vision.

If you see a blue R32 reg DV 03 OMW call your local police. Cheers guys

jeez man, I just read that. That's awful... I'm so sorry to hear that. I will keep a look out for you. Although I'm prop in the wrong part of uk. But I will keep a look out "if" i do see it. That sucks... I mean comming back and asking the the power lead for laptop how cheap is that. That's annoying... losing your mobile and laptop with numbers/emails etc in.. Damn man.

Yeah i agree it is screwed up but i don't think you can get away from this by living somewhere else, i also live in solihull and it is a very nice area, it is people coming from other areas to steal stuff.
I think the sentences for theft should be alot more strict, it's one of those things that really p**ses me off.
I wouldn't suggest moving to south africa, this is how they have to protect their cars from jacking [IMG]

Bad news mate , will look out in edinburgh but in all honesty the car will be in slovakia getting a new id or in a million bits on ebay by now ( harsh but true) dont you just love the ancient chinese for inventing gun powder so that the yanks could invent guns.

I'm having major problems with mine.
Scallies have tried to nick my wheels twice and caused 1500 in damage so far.
I'm going to have to get it repaired, sell it and get something dull looking (just moved from secure praking in London to street parking in Bristol).
If ANY of you get offered or hear or any R32 wheels for sale, it's 99% certain they are nicked to PLEASE tell the cops.
Being forced to sell a car (which I love) is not nice but then the above story sounds worse.

shocking, but apparently quite common with R32's.

there's an engine setup on ebay BTW. not saying it's got anything to do with it, but might be worth checking the numbers.....

Sorry to hear that mate, theres some nasty to55ers around. Especially near me in Swansea, but as you say you've got gap and the car can be replaced at the end of the day !

The car would have been sold on ebay in bits, or is probably residing on a drive in some other country.

The same happened to a friend of my old mans years ago with an RS500 cossie, the police found out where it was in the end, it was in japan !!!
