i have just been given a nokia 6600 with tomtom installed, i'm just wondering where to get a gps receiver, i know they are on she-bay but would rather not use that if possible, thanks
what about this? i've just got an O2 xda ii, would this bluetooth gps receiver be ok? http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/8590.htm http://www.pdamods.com/products.asp?cat=16&partner=google&gclid=CJzS_qDJr4UCFQ9xQwodIgfZ4Q
I have an old nokia 6630 lying about from my old contract and i see it can run tomtom mobile - I wonder, does it require a phone signal to work, or is the whole thing done through the bluetooth GPS reciever?
i know sweet f a about sat nav, gps receivers, bluetooth etc.etc.. i didn't realise gps receivers were so cheap are they a much of a muchness or what?
Doesnt require a phone signal. My 30 GPS receiver works great with my 6680. Remember to change the options off the Tomtom receiver in the setup.
Right, i've got hold of the tomtom software - presumably, all i need then is a 30 reciever and i'm good to go? Awesome! Any recomendations on reciever Deako?
How good does it work ? I was contimplating getting it for my mobile, but i have heard it can be a bit slow ? ? ?
i'm using this one http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=A1TTBTGPSGS can't knock it, out of the 20 sats it say it can recieve I've always got 10-12 outside not to sure if 30 channel is needed
Ive got the offical Tomtom one and that takes a while for it to warm up and start to work. I think they all do tbh..
ive used one with my 7610 for a while now some random jobbie of ebay works pretty well tho with tom tom always takes them a few mins to get a signal the new units are better but they cost a fortune
