Not nearly as bad as others but still takes the p***. This is the result of a lady borrowing her husbands 5 series estate to go shopping. She got her car stuck on mine when trying to pull out between mine and another car. I finish work to find my bumper hanging on to the front of the car and wonder what happened. Checked our CCTV at work to find her hitting mine and taking bumper off then stopping to get out and prop bumper back on and then drive off. Meanwhile to deliivery guys are watching on. Luckily police traced the cars Reg and got me her details. Used helphire to claim, got a quote for 700 to fix it so was cat c write off for what seemed fairly minor. Got them to hand over 650 (150 less due to breakin damage to lock that happened a couple of weeks earlier). Brought car back off them and fixed up my self. Funny thing is though is that they still havent written it off and has been 4 months since I got the cheque!?!?
i think it is a criminal offence to leave the scene of an accident etc. would have been nice if she got really shafted for it.
Yeah I was hoping but I the police said that something about them having a time period after. I thought the police contacted her but I think her insurance company may have and then she rang the police her self as she knew shed been caught. Shame really
