I've just bought my gf an xmas pressie, a nice polished set of teardrops with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres :):)(to replace the stock 14" steelies.)

Do these need special wheel bolts? I ask because I saw an item on ebay called "Alloy wheel bolts for VW Golf etc"

as another question, do I need to fit locking wheel bolts to them, they must be 15 years old now so is anyone really likely to want to try to nick them?

    cheers

if its werth anything they'll nick it!

easiest way to do it is measue how far the bolt sticks out from the wheel if you hold it in the hole. should stickout far enough to get at lease 4/5 complete turns on it when you put the wheels on.

also check the sholder of the nuts you are using are the same as the wheels,

    hope this helps
