As title, what actually works? I can't hold it secure enough for long enough for Tiger Seal or similar, and those crappy kits you get in car shops just don't work. So what can I use?

I used a locktite kit specifically for bonding mirrors on. it comes with a wee fine mesh pad thing that you saturate with the glue then stick it on. been on there 6 month and I've fiddled with it a fair amount and its not come off

sure i had some left over, I'll see if i can dig it out so you know what to look for :)

I've used the normal mirror bond kit from motor factors and it works fine. Make sure all the surfaces are clean and oil free beforehand.

My friend tried this kit, was rubbish, and my mum and sisters have tried every kit going over the years with little or no success [:p]

I'll give one a whirl and actually clean the surfaces properly first then

clean with acetone not thinners or turps or white spirit they all leave a greasy residue.
contamination and messing with the mirrors are the only reasons for not working propper!
